Havin' a Hoot with My Owl Theme (Part 2)

I have had such a wonderful response to my first Havin' a Hoot with my Owl Theme post that I decided share an update... and my new accents!

You can see my original post {here}.

I am still loving owls... and have found that my students LOVE them too.

Here are a few fun owl activities we have done.

  1. I love your room! So cute with all of your owl items. I really wanted chair pockets, but they don't seem to be in the budget this year. I definitely have it on my list :) It all looks adorable. Looks like your off to a great start! Thanks so much for linking up.

  3. Love your room! I hope you can answer a few questions! As far as their cubbies, the name and the basket... How did you get the name up like that? What are the baskets for? Your cubbies are identical to mine!! Thanks for the info in advance!

  5. Hi Kelly,

Thank you so much!!! : ) Do you mean the names above the cubbies? The plastic name holders were left for me by the previous teacher. I just printed my names/owls off on cardstock and slid them in. For the book bins, if you purchase my Owl Accents you can add your students' names on the top of the owl frames like I did. I use those baskets for their "just-right" books and any reading materials that they need to work on. For example, some students may have a baggie full of magnetic letters and some may have a stack of sight words. The students bring these over when we meet for guided reading. We are always adding/changing what is in their bin, according to their needs. I bought the bins at Dollar Tree. : ) You can always email me, too, if you other questions. : ) Amy

  6. The trick is to get organized and that's exactly what you've done. The room looks great. I might have to borrow some of your ideas. Specifically the pouches in the back of the chairs.
