Reading, Solving, and Writing Story Problems

We have been super busy in math.
My class has reeeeeally loved our addition and subtraction unit - especially story problems.

It has been so rewarding teaching this unit - watching the skill and interest grow!

I used this pack to help my students read, solve, and write their own story problems. It also includes an addition and subtraction key word sort.

Some of what's included:

We're Publishing Story Problems in Math!

Don't you love it when you *try* something new, something that you are unsure your students can accomplish...
and they completely knock your socks off?!

That is exactly what happened last week in math.

My group of kinders love to learn and be challenged. I challenged them to write their own story problems and was SO impressed with their creativity and knowledge of addition and subtraction vocabulary.

We have our young authors' writing celebration coming up, so we published some of our story problems in these adorable books.

on TpT.

Can't wait for the students to share these with their families this week!
