Scientists at Work

I have a super fun group of Growing Scientists!
This week we learned about science, different types of scientists, using our 5 senses, asking questions, recording our observations, using science tools, and much more!

Here are some of the highlights:

All of the students L-O-V-E-D doing this activity.
I gave each student an apple and we used 1 sense at a time to make observations about our apple.

They also enjoyed using science tools.
Scientists- tell your parents how you used:
droppers
beakers
measuring cups
safety googles
microscopes
rulers
and
magnifying glasses

We also went out to our school's special butterfly garden to make observations using our 5 senses. I loved watching my little scientists buzz around the garden with excitement!

On Friday we welcomed Niko's parents who are both scientists. It was so great learning about their jobs. They also taught us about parasites!

The students did a really nice job asking (great!) questions.
Thank you Villegas Family for sharing your love for science!!
