Fun Sight Word Review!
My students had SO MUCH FUN creating this sight word review. I gave each student (or pair of students) a sight word that we have learned. They could "make it fancy" with any designs they wanted...
but the BEST part was their creative poses!!
I created a slideshow for them to practice reading their words. I also plan on printing these off and adding them to our Daily 5 sight word work bins.
They are SUPER excited about this and have already been asking to create number and color words posters!
: )
Kindergarten Friends,
I LOVE all of your star word posters!!!
Play the slideshow and see if you can read all of these words to your family.

Five for Friday
I am linking up with one of my favorite blogs:
Here are 5 random things about my week:
1. I celebrated my 32nd birthday this week. I was overwhelmed by all of sweet gestures from my friends and family. *Feeling so blessed!* I was brave enough to have my students guess how old I was turning. Their guesses ranged from 23-100! :)
2. I created these adorable Valentine's for my little loves at school... and the ones below for my children.
3. My team and I started planning our Seuss week... and I found several new Seuss ideas on Pinterest. :)
4. My students created these beautiful hearts by using bingo dotters on coffee filters.
5. I continued meeting new blogging friends through a Love Notes Link up I am hosting. It has been so much fun getting to read more about other teachers!
Come join the fun HERE!!!
Thanks for hosting this fun link up.

We Love Otis!
We had a very special visit from author and illustrator
LOREN LONG.
The children were THRILLED to meet the creator of our favorite Otis books.
We've enjoyed
and
in the classroom...
and Loren shared his new book:

We feel so lucky to have met an author and illustrator that inspires us!
Thanks Mr. Long!

What are your favorite hobbies or what do you enjoy doing during your free time?
Being a mom!!!! I know this isn't a "hobby" but I really enjoy spending most of my free time with my children Scott and Madilynn. We love hiking, dancing (*our dance parties are getting serious now that Santa brought a disco ball and Scott deejays on his ipod, ha!*), going on adventures to the zoo, children's museum, King's Island, playing games (we play one every night and are currently obsessed with Uno), and just spending time together. Children grow up too fast and I am just enjoying every minute with them!
I also love going to cardio boxing, cooking for family and friends, blogging, photography, traveling, and shopping at Target.
Your favorite
vacation destination?
My favorite "couples" destination is Hawaii. Mike and I went went we were first married. It was gorgeous, relaxing, and romantic!
My favorite family destination is Naples Beach or Disney World.
(Naples 2012)
(Disney June 2010)
See what I mean about growing up fast - this picture makes me want to cry my eyes out. ;)
The best
advice you’ve been given?
BE YOURSELF.
I have SOOOOOO much fun with my friends who love me for ME!
(funny quirks and all!)
Most rewarding part of teaching?
Helping children fall in love with books, watching their growth in writing, and seeing all of their smiles and eagerness to learn.
What are you known for?
Being happy.
: ) : ) : )
I love to laugh.
2 random facts:
